With Anna and Magda’s strong family and professional ties to the Macedon Ranges, they are passionate about supporting people across this diverse and beautiful part of Victoria.
Anna brings years of experience as a nurse, educator and a leader, having worked across aged care, disability, medical and surgical wards and operating theatres. Her previous work with Northern Health — a network that now includes Kilmore Hospital — has given her valuable insight into the local healthcare landscape and deepened her commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Now focused full-time on Nurse Next Door Macedon Ranges, Anna is proud to bring that experience into the homes of local clients, alongside her sister Magda.
Magda began her nursing career at Kilmore Hospital and is now an experienced community nurse, having worked extensively with Nurse Next Door Melbourne North. Her time there showed her first-hand the exceptional care and support that Nurse Next Door provides — an experience that inspired both sisters to bring the same high standard of home care to the Macedon Ranges.

My mother is 94 and was lonely, isolated and struggling to remain independent. Through the government funding that allowed us to engage Nurse Next Door, my mother's life has changed completely.
Nurse Next Door's care for my mother three times a week has provided her with companionship and someone to help with meals and essential things like changing her bed and washing her laundry. Her mental health is vastly improved and she is now calmer and happier.
Her life revolves around "Fiona days" - when she knows she will have company and loving attention. My life has changed too - in the background I am dealing with schedulers, nurses and financial people who respond to my emails very quickly and help me resolve problems, manage our annual budget and liaise with me professionally and quickly regarding Mum's physical and mental needs.
Mum is happier therefore I am happier, and endlessly grateful that Nurse Next Door has come into our lives.

Yes, Nurse Next Door is a government registered home care provider and can supply all your Support At Home care needs.
What if I need to speak to someone after business hours?
Our Care Services Center is open 24/7. Call anytime, and one of our Care Services Specialists will be happy to assist you.
When should we consider 24-hour home care?
Use this list to help you decide if continuous monitoring is something you should consider:
- The person doesn’t sleep through the night (or gets up more than 2-3 times per night).
- The person has difficulty moving around and is at a high risk of falls.
- The person was recently (or is about to be) discharged from the hospital and needs constant monitoring.
- The person’s spouse or relative is exhausted from helping day and night.
If one or more of these statements is true, call us for a more thorough Caring Consult.
How much does Nurse Next Door cost?
Nurse Next Door's services vary in price depending on the level of care required and the Nurse Next Door Care team that services your area. To get a better idea of pricing in your area, speak to one of our Care Services Specialists, we're open any time, 24/7.
We also offer a complimentary Caring Consult, during which one of our Care Designers, who is a Registered Nurse, will help you determine the amount of care you may require. We'll then work with you to balance your budget and needs and find a home care option for you.
You may also be eligible for Government Funding to help compensate with any finances.
Can I trial Nurse Next Door or do I have to sign a long-term contract?
You are not locked into a long-term contract as a Nurse Next Door client.

Are your home care services only for Aged Care?

Will I have the same Care Team all the time?
At Nurse Next Door, we strive to provide consistent care with regularly assigned caregivers. If your Caregiver isn’t available, we will ensure a suitable replacement that meets your unique needs.
Does Nurse Next Door conduct a background check for Caregivers?
Yes, all Nurse Next Door Caregivers are carefully screened with police checks, vulnerable sector checks and reference checks. Prior to hiring we verify our Caregivers' credentials and experience. On an annual basis, we verify that every Nurse is registered and in good standing with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
