How we can help
Do you provide transport?
Yes. Your support worker drives you or travels with you to appointments, social visits, shopping and more, and can sit in at appointments to take notes so nothing is missed.
Is this just a taxi service?
No, it is much more. A taxi driver drops you at the kerb. Your caregiver assists you from your front door, helps you into the car, stays with you during the activity if you wish, helps with mobility or bathroom breaks, and makes sure you are settled safely back at home afterwards.
Can I go to evening events?
Yes. Our services are available 24/7, so if you want to attend a wedding, a concert or a family dinner in the evening, we can arrange support to get you there and back safely.
Will the caregiver stay with me?
That is entirely up to you. Some clients prefer their caregiver to stay with them for company and conversation throughout the activity. Others prefer to be dropped off and collected again at a set time. We adapt to your preference.

We recently contacted Nurse Next Door when my elderly Nan needed specialist wound care over weekends and public holidays, and we were incredibly fortunate to be matched with Amber. From the very beginning, she has been exceptional—working closely with Nan’s regular nurse to ensure the highest standard of care. Today, however, truly stood out. While driving to Brisbane, I called Nurse Next Door in a panic after Nan had a fall and needed urgent help. Amber immediately dropped what she was doing and came straight over. She stayed with us while the ambulance assessed Nan and continued to help afterwards, making sure Nan was comfortable. Not once did she mention that it was outside of hours or that she had stayed longer than expected. Her dedication, kindness, and genuine compassion are remarkable. I am a client of Nurse next Door; my name is David Barnwell I have used their service for 8 months now. I have been made welcome, appreciated, and adopted by each family member of Nurse Next Door who communicate and care for me. I love how extensive my individual care concerns are acted upon whether caring for me paid time or when careers are in their own time. As a diabetic I rely on medication and pen for injections each week. I in conversation communicated that supplier were not able to keep up with Diabetic suffers demands, next moment Belinda was phoning many chemists to see if they had supplies? Eventually a chemist one hour round trip from my location had one in stock. After leaving details Belinda prepared to drive to the chemist and pick up my diabetic pen, Belinda suggested I stay home relax she would return that shift before leaving for her home. Experiences are too many to share of encounters other careers and nurses and staff I have had with. Nurse Next Door are family, are you seeking such like people who care what more can be done to improve quality of life for everyone.
