How we can help
Who performs the wound care?
Basic wound care can be performed by our qualified caregivers with the oversight from the Care designer. All complex wound care and wound management is performed by our qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) or Enrolled Nurses (ENs). They are currently registered with AHPRA and trained in strict aseptic techniques and infection control to ensure your safety.
Do I need to buy my own dressings?
Not necessarily. We can work with the supplies you already have, or coordinate directly with your pharmacy to have the right clinical dressings and bandages delivered to your home. Our nurses also assess your wound at every visit to make sure the products being used are supporting healing.
Can you treat diabetic wounds?
Yes. We have specialised experience in diabetic wound management, including diabetic foot ulcers. Our nurses take a holistic approach, treating the wound itself while also monitoring blood glucose levels and providing education to help prevent future complications.
Do I need a referral to book this service?
No, you can book our nurse led team privately without a referral. For complex wounds, we will ask for discharge summaries or care plans from your doctor, so we can collaborate with your GP and keep your clinical care consistent.

Even in the most challenging situations, she manages to find solutions that work. A huge amount of stress has been removed from my life since we engaged Nurse Next Door to organise staff to visit, support and take our mother (who lives in an aged care home) to places she used to do when she lived in her own home. This includes going to cafes, shopping, attending appointments etc … and making her feel special and valuable.
