Who provides the care, Nurses or Support Workers?
It depends on your clinical needs. Registered Nurses (RNs) perform specific procedures like catheter changes or complex wound care. For high intensity tasks like PEG feeding or bowel care, we use highly trained Caregivers. These staff are signed off by a Clinical Nurse Specialist and receive ongoing supervision to ensure safety.
How do you ensure clinical safety?
We work under a clear Clinical Governance Framework. Every complex care client has a designated Clinical Lead who builds your care plan, trains staff to your specific needs, and carries out regular reviews so all health protocols are followed.
Can I use my NDIS funding for this?
Yes. We are experienced in supporting participants with High Intensity Daily Personal Activities funding. We work with your Support Coordinator to build a roster that maximizes your budget while meeting your clinical requirements.
What specific conditions can you support?
Our team supports a wide range of complex needs, including Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI), Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and Cerebral Palsy. If you have a specific diagnosis, please contact us to discuss your care plan.
What happens if my regular carer is sick?
Consistency matters for safety. We build a care team around you rather than relying on one person, so multiple staff are trained on your specific equipment and routines. If your primary carer is unavailable, another team member who knows you well can step in.
Can you provide 24/7 coverage?
Yes, we specialise in 24/7 complex care. We build rosters to cover day, evening and overnight shifts, including active and inactive overnight support, so you are never without the clinical support you need.

I changed to nurse next door as previous provider could not supply the same person or consistent time. Many times no one came. I was expecting that this would be the case for other providers . Not so with Nurse next door Tecoma. We now have a nurse driven service ( not all of them are) able to supply consistent carers at the same time each day. An RN came and did the initial assessment of the home and my friends needs. That did not happen previously, it was done over the phone. Not only that their RN’s have driven quality care, making suggestions that transformed our lives. I am an RN myself and l am so impressed with the service. I should have changed ages ago. I am no longer burnt out, feel totally supported and just want to shout out to the whole world, nurse next door is amazing . Thank you guys you saved me and my friend.
