No. Palliative care can begin at any stage of a life limiting illness, well before end of life care is needed. We support families for months or even years, helping manage day-to-day comfort, dignity and quality of life, including overnight and 24-hour support when required.

I changed to nurse next door as previous provider could not supply the same person or consistent time. Many times no one came. I was expecting that this would be the case for other providers . Not so with Nurse next door Tecoma. We now have a nurse driven service ( not all of them are) able to supply consistent carers at the same time each day. An RN came and did the initial assessment of the home and my friends needs. That did not happen previously, it was done over the phone.
