How we can help
How soon should I book post-operative care?
We recommend booking as soon as your surgery date is confirmed. This allows us to prepare your home and match the right team to your specific needs. However, we understand that medical schedules change, and we can often accommodate last-minute requests if your discharge date moves.
Do I need a Nurse or a Caregiver?
This depends on the complexity of your recovery. A caregiver is well suited to help with mobility, meals, hygiene and medication prompts. If you require injections, complex wound dressings or clinical monitoring, we will assign a registered nurse. Many clients combine both for complete support.
Is there a minimum booking time?
No, our service is flexible. You can book a Settle-in Service for just the day of discharge, or ongoing support for several weeks. There are no lock in contracts, so you can simply use the service until you regain your strength and independence.

She comes in and starts and goes about her duties, she never goes into mum saying " what do you want me to do now". She knows what needs to be done and does it. Mum's other favours is not too much chitchat. Just all the pleasant greetings and how are you today. The 3rd main reason. Nurse Next Door have been 💯 amazing since starting with my Mum. Kier sorted everything out super quickly when we moved from the previous provider who we were not happy with and then Mum has had a consistent team supporting her since. I just call and ask for services and they are organised quickly, or Kier contacts to advice what additional services Mum would benefit from - again all sorted out withing a week. Nurse Next Door have been on the ball when Mum needs an ambulance to hospital asap and constantly keep in touch to check in on Mum when she is in hospital.
