How we can help
Can you provide medical pain relief?
Yes. Our team includes qualified Registered Nurses who can administer pain relief injections, manage pumps or syringe drivers, and coordinate with your palliative care team or GP to keep symptoms well controlled.
How quickly can services start?
We understand that time is often short. We can usually arrange a consultation and begin care within 24 hours (or sooner in urgent situations). We handle the logistics so you can focus on your loved one.
Do you work with the hospital palliative care team?
Yes. We work collaboratively with community palliative care teams, hospices and GPs. We act as the eyes and ears in the home, updating the medical team on any changes in condition to ensure seamless care.
Is this service only for the final days?
No. Palliative care can begin at any stage of a life limiting illness, well before end of life care is needed. We support families for months or even years, helping manage day-to-day comfort, dignity and quality of life, including overnight and 24-hour support when required.

I changed to nurse next door as previous provider could not supply the same person or consistent time. Many times no one came. I was expecting that this would be the case for other providers . Not so with Nurse next door Tecoma. We now have a nurse driven service ( not all of them are) able to supply consistent carers at the same time each day. An RN came and did the initial assessment of the home and my friends needs. That did not happen previously, it was done over the phone. Not only that their RN’s have driven quality care, making suggestions that transformed our lives. I am an RN myself and l am so impressed with the service. I should have changed ages ago. I am no longer burnt out, feel totally supported and just want to shout out to the whole world, nurse next door is amazing . Thank you guys you saved me and my friend. We needed some after surgery nursing care, to be provided in our home as we couldn't get out to the hospital, with the care and expertise expected from a hospital service. Our nurse, Michelle, was absolutely wonderful and a ray of light during such a difficult time. She is very friendly, approachable and knew exactly what she was doing.
