How we can help
Is this different from a taxi?
Yes, significantly. Your caregiver assists you from your front door, into the car and to your destination, staying with you if you would like company, helping with mobility, and making sure you are settled safely back home afterwards.
Can you drive my car?
Yes. If you prefer your own vehicle, your caregiver can drive it provided it is comprehensively insured. Alternatively, they can use their own vehicle, which is fully insured for business use, and we can accommodate walkers and foldable wheelchairs.
Will you stay with me during the appointment?
That is entirely up to you. Many clients appreciate having a companion in the waiting room, or even during the consultation, for extra support. If you would rather have privacy, we can wait in the car or return to collect you at a set time.
Can we make multiple stops?
Yes. This is your time, so if you want to visit the doctor, stop at the chemist and grab a coffee on the way home, we are happy to accommodate your schedule.

This service is just amazing and we are so grateful and happy we found it! We needed some after surgery nursing care, to be provided in our home as we couldn't get out to the hospital, with the care and expertise expected from a hospital service. Our nurse, Michelle, was absolutely wonderful and a ray of light during such a difficult time. She is very friendly, approachable and knew exactly what she was doing. We were very impressed with the whole service, from first contact with the Intake Centre to the ongoing care provided by Michelle. The care and compassion across the entire service was amazing. The nursing team at Nurse Next Door are friendly, helpful and professional in caring for me. I have confidence in them and know they will be there for me when I need medical assistance. I am on the government End of Life Pathway Program for people who have less than 3 months left to live. Nurse Next Door has spent time getting to know me and my wife personally to ensure they know our requirements and anticipate what future needs we may have. They have also offered to assist us in many other ways as I am be cared for in my home. This takes a big burden off of our shoulders to know that we are well supported in difficult times.

I changed to nurse next door as previous provider could not supply the same person or consistent time. Many times no one came. I was expecting that this would be the case for other providers . Not so with Nurse next door Tecoma. We now have a nurse driven service ( not all of them are) able to supply consistent carers at the same time each day. An RN came and did the initial assessment of the home and my friends needs. That did not happen previously, it was done over the phone. Not only that their RN’s have driven quality care, making suggestions that transformed our lives. I am an RN myself and l am so impressed with the service. I should have changed ages ago. I am no longer burnt out, feel totally supported and just want to shout out to the whole world, nurse next door is amazing . Thank you guys you saved me and my friend.
