Recovery at home can be challenging. We bridge the gap between hospital and home with wound care, mobility support, and domestic help, ensuring a smooth transition back to full independence.

Our priority is to ensure a seamless and safe transition from hospital to home. We tailor our support to align with your surgeon's discharge instructions and your personal recovery speed, offering flexible care ranging from a few days to several weeks.

Post-operative care eases the transition from hospital to home, with local caregivers and Registered Nurses tailoring support to your surgeon's discharge plan and recovery speed.
Our caregivers live and work locally, so care at home is never far away, anywhere in Mornington Peninsula.
We recommend booking as soon as your surgery date is confirmed. This allows us to prepare your home and match the right team to your specific needs. However, we understand that medical schedules change, and we can often accommodate last-minute requests if your discharge date moves.
This depends on the complexity of your recovery. A caregiver is well suited to help with mobility, meals, hygiene and medication prompts. If you require injections, complex wound dressings or clinical monitoring, we will assign a registered nurse. Many clients combine both for complete support.
No, our service is flexible. You can book a Settle-in Service for just the day of discharge, or ongoing support for several weeks. There are no lock in contracts, so you can simply use the service until you regain your strength and independence.
Absolutely wonderful Nothing is too much trouble Andrew and his staff are caring supportive and professional A carer named Mercy is a ray of sunshine and a joy to have in our home. Thank you to all at Nurse next door.
I received an aged care package in January of this year. My daughter chose Nurse Next Door as my local provider. It was such an excellent choice. Andrew, one of the principals of Nurse Next Door is also my physio who comes to my place twice a week. His knowledge, care and advice is outstanding. I have had contact with at least 10 to 12 employees of Nurse Next Door. All these people display outstanding care, reliability and professionalism. If any person is looking for a reliable local provider, then I could not recommend any higher than Nurse Next Door. They are a thoroughly caring and professional organisation. Our experience with mornington peninsula nurse next door has been exceptional. Following our initial meeting with Andrew Hosking we felt supported and listened to regarding our situation with My Aged Care. Andrew was extremely understanding when dealing with our complex situation his knowledge of the process was outstanding and our concerns were quickly and efficiently dealt with, what he could not answer he researched until he found the solution. A special thank you for the wonderful support and follow up with Ella Richardson providing the ongoing care. I would recommend Peninsula wNurse Next Door as a provider.
