How we can help
Who provides the care, Nurses or Support Workers?
It depends on your clinical needs. Registered Nurses (RNs) perform specific procedures like catheter changes or complex wound care. For high intensity tasks like PEG feeding or bowel care, we use highly trained Caregivers. These staff are signed off by a Clinical Nurse Specialist and receive ongoing supervision to ensure safety.
How do you ensure clinical safety?
We work under a clear Clinical Governance Framework. Every complex care client has a designated Clinical Lead who builds your care plan, trains staff to your specific needs, and carries out regular reviews so all health protocols are followed.
Can I use my NDIS funding for this?
Yes. We are experienced in supporting participants with High Intensity Daily Personal Activities funding. We work with your Support Coordinator to build a roster that maximizes your budget while meeting your clinical requirements.
What specific conditions can you support?
Our team supports a wide range of complex needs, including Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI), Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and Cerebral Palsy. If you have a specific diagnosis, please contact us to discuss your care plan.
What happens if my regular carer is sick?
Consistency matters for safety. We build a care team around you rather than relying on one person, so multiple staff are trained on your specific equipment and routines. If your primary carer is unavailable, another team member who knows you well can step in.
Can you provide 24/7 coverage?
Yes, we specialise in 24/7 complex care. We build rosters to cover day, evening and overnight shifts, including active and inactive overnight support, so you are never without the clinical support you need.

My 90 year old dad suffered a fracture in his neck and after a stay in a rehabilitation hospital he was able to come home thanks to the wonderful care and services provided by Nurse Next Door. Thanks to the thorough organisation and planning and with client consultation with Winnie and Will, dad’s transition back to home was a smooth one. Nurse Next Door risk assessed my parents’ house and were able to provide mobility aids and make sure that regular activities like showering were easier and safer for dad. They even counted how many steps he would have to take from, for example, the bed to the bathroom. The entire family has benefitted from the stellar people from Nurse Next Door who have come into dad’s life at a critical time and we are so appreciative. Even mum has had help with household chores and shopping. We have seen mum and dad grow in confidence with the knowledge that they are getting expert, professional and ethical care. The staff are highly trained. Most are fully qualified registered nurses and this is a stand out feature of Nurse Next Door because their medical knowledge and understanding has meant that dad’s neck brace, for example, can be taken on and off in the correct manner and without further injury. Nurse at home listens to clients and their needs and requests and are very accommodating. There is genuine kindness and compassion.
