How we can help
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
Many of our Nurse Next Door locations are registered NDIS providers, allowing us to support Agency Managed participants. However, all of our locations can support Self-Managed and Plan-Managed participants immediately. We recommend speaking with your local Care Designer to confirm the specific registration status of their team.
What NDIS support categories do you cover?
Our in-home disability support services fall under two NDIS categories: Core Supports (Assistance with Daily Life, Transport, and Social & Community Participation) and Capacity Building (Improved Daily Living). This includes everyday support like personal care, plus nurse-led High Intensity daily personal activities, and overnight support when needed.
Can I choose my own support worker?
Absolutely. Choice and control are central to our approach as your disability support provider. We take great care to pair you with a caregiver or nurse who shares your interests, personality and cultural preferences, so you have a consistent team you know and trust.
Can you provide 24/7 support for complex needs?
Yes. Our support workers and Registered Nurses work as one team to specialise in 24/7 complex care and overnight support, overseeing high intensity needs such as ventilation, epilepsy management and wound care, so you're safe at home around the clock.
Do I need to sign a lock-in contract?
No. We do not believe in lock-in contracts. You can increase, decrease, or cancel your services at any time with appropriate notice. We understand that your goals and NDIS funding may change, so our service remains as flexible as you are.

We are so pleased to have finally found an organisation that is responsive and has great staff that engage well with our Mum, and who actually identify issues rather than us having to chase things up. Nurse Next Door became part of our lives during a very difficult chapter, and I will always be grateful for the care and support they gave my mum. From the beginning, they made an effort to understand Mum, her needs and our family. As her condition progressed and things became harder, they continued to support us with patience, flexibility and understanding. Knowing we had people around us who genuinely cared made such a difference. What I appreciated most was the way Mum was treated. She was always approached with dignity and respect, and we never felt like we were just another family receiving a service. Their support continued right through Mum’s final stages, and even after she passed away, their kindness did not stop. That meant a lot to me and showed the type of people behind the care. Exceptional care! After my mother-in-law had a stroke, Dee and Shanna from the leadership team visited us right in the hospital to organize a home care plan. My MIL is a fiercely independent woman in her 80s, and we expected her to resist care entirely. Instead, the caregivers were incredibly lovely, thoughtful, and encouraging. Nurse Next Door are not just an NDIS provider they really care for their participants. Shanna periodically calls in to check how my husband is going which just gives that personal touch. Administratively, if we need to change transport to an appointment last minute they are just a phone call away no matter what time of the day - even weekends! Then getting back with it resolved and organised pretty much straight away! This gives us piece of mind as we would have been charged and lost nNDIS hours for missed / cancelled appointments last minute by the other providers. Not to mention how wonderful the support workers are that transport my husband. Always friendly , conversational and eager to help him into the car. He’s built a rapport with them and that he even invites them and shows them our pets, etc…. after the trip. At Christmas time we get invited to an end of year party catered by Nurse Next Door as a thank you to the participants and their workers, where they present awards to their workers as well as. It’s lovely to meet everyone face to face- Shanna, Dee, Daniel and the team. We even had a surprise Christmas package dropped off at our front door! As my husband’s condition progresses I know we’ll need to rely more on the nursing assistance his support workers can provide. Nurse Next Door prioritises that personal touch to their professionalism.
