Managing care logistics can be overwhelming. We pair you with a dedicated Registered Nurse to handle rostering, clinical oversight, and advocacy, ensuring your plan is safe, effective, and organised 24/7.

We do more than just assign a roster; we partner with you to navigate the healthcare system. Your Care Designer (a Registered Nurse) acts as your single point of contact, ensuring your care plan is clinically safe, financially efficient, and perfectly aligned with your lifestyle.

Aged care and disability support both require more than a roster; they require coordinated oversight of your healthcare. Your Care Designer, a Registered Nurse, serves as a single point of contact, matching you with local caregivers so in home care remains clinically safe, financially efficient and aligned with your lifestyle.
Our caregivers live and work locally, so care at home is never far away, anywhere in Canberra.
A Care Designer is always a senior Registered Nurse. They are your dedicated partner who develops and oversees your care plan, manages the roster, and ensures we are meeting your specific goals, whether that is remaining independent at home or accessing the community.
Under Support at Home, Care Management is a vital service to help you coordinate your distinct funding budgets (Clinical, Independence, and Everyday Living). We help you plan your quarterly budget so you don't run short on essential services.
Absolutely. Many families choose to pay privately for a Care Designer to oversee a loved one's care, especially if they live interstate or have complex medical needs. We provide the same level of clinical oversight and advocacy regardless of how the service is funded.
Yes. Mixed funding households are common. If one family member is on the NDIS and another is accessing Support at Home, your Care Designer can coordinate rosters to minimise disruption and streamline communication.
Yes. For Support at Home clients, this is paid from your funding budget. For NDIS participants, it is covered under relevant support items. For private clients, we offer a transparent fee structure. We ensure you understand all costs before care begins.
The Care Services Team is available 24/7, 365 days a year. If a crisis occurs or urgent advice is needed, you can call and speak with a team member who knows your care plan.
I got lucky when I found Nurse NextDoor. The team they have wrapped around me are professional, gentle and caring and bring a spark to my day when they arrive. Nothing is too much to ask, and to be able to speak with your team, not a call centre, is massively reassuring. Well done team, and thankyou.
I had great difficulties trying to organize nursing care for my brother who came to stay with me in Canberra for 4 months. Rang numerous providers but they had no nursing capacity to help us out. Rang Nurse Next Door and they were absolutely brilliant from the start. I spoke with a representative and they organized for someone to come out and assess our needs. The nurses who attended my brothers services were absolutely brilliant, very caring and showed a lot of empathy. It was wonderful seeing my brother interact so well with others. They all cared about their work, you could see they loved what they were doing. We were kept up to date with weekly rosters, so we knew exactly who was attending. I would highly recommend their services.
Nurse Next Door stepped in to assist with urgent, in-home palliative care when our regular provider failed. They provided a responsive, compassionate and professional service that permitted my mother to die in her own bed, with loved ones around her as she wished. As a health professional myself, based on our experience, I fully recommend them.
Our family is enormously grateful to Nurse Next Door, they swung into action, organising urgent care for a family member. Their people are very lovely, trustworthy & extremely capable. We have no hesitation is recommending their services.
NND have provided a valuable care option for my mum in her home. With NND as a part of our regular care team, I feel confident there is also back up with experienced carers when we need it.
We engaged Nurse Next Door to provide in-home support for my 89 year old much loved father-in-law, Werner. The services were very professionally delivered and we could not speak more highly of Kylie and her team who do a difficult job with empathy and dignity. As our loved ones age, it can be a daunting task to keep them at home for as long as possible and some outside care keeps them at home longer which is what they much prefer. We have just needed to move Werner into Jindalee Nursing Home but there is no doubt Nurse Next Door enabled this to be delayed as long as possible. We have no hesitation in recommending Nurse Next Door to any family in similar circumstances to ours.
We have been with Nurse Next Door for 2 years since they were able to bring Mum home from hospital after a fall during the Covid Lockdowns. They have become more than carers (although they are a help with some of her housework) they are now friends. They chat with her and take her places which she loves, even getting up early to take her to the balloons! As I am in Melbourne it is a great comfort to know there is someone there with her everyday.
It was very helpful to access to a local provider for a timely assessment and report required for NDIS review. It was a much faster and more affordable option (didn’t have to pay for someone to travel interstate) than we have previously experienced.
Don't know how I got by without them. Nurse Next Door makes every day better, even the ones when I'm at my worst.
I have been using the services of Nurse Next Door for my mother for over 2 years now. Mum's weekly carers are so professional and friendly and very bright company for Mum. NND are always flexible and responsive and it puts my mind at ease knowing that Mum's care is top notch and that she is happy in their company. Mum made a decision to stay at home and not move to retirement care. Nurse Next Door has allowed Mum's wishes to be a reality, supporting not only Mum, but we as Mum's family also. I highly recommend Nurse Next Door in Canberra!

Nurse Next Door have been assisting me on a daily basis for over a year now. I don't know what I would do without them. The staff are always Enthusiastic, Thoughtful and Friendly and have consistently made extra efforts to accommodate all my nursing and medical needs and have consistently provided excellent service. I am very pleased with the quality of service Nurse Next Door provides. Thank you Nurse Next Door for making my life easier.
Lovely staff members, caring and thoughtful.
The lovely nurses assisted me with wound dressings and ADL for about a week for an hour or two in the mornings. Due to the unique wound care protocols, a buddy shifts were done with my wife. Couldn't fault the care and diligence of the nurses. Would use them again, if needed.
We were so thankful to find Nurse Next Door when our Mum needed assistance to remain living at home independently, she was treated with respect and kindness by Nurse Next Doors professional carers. After moving to residential care and having major surgery Nurse Next Door was an absolute saviour in Mums post operative care. Every interaction with the Nurse Next Door has been positive, with people who really care.
Very easy to get set up. They were extremely professional, responsive and flexible. The service was great and gave me huge peace of mind to get out and get some rest. I will definitely be using their services again.
After contacting many providers NND Canberra were the only one that were willing to provide the service and were still using the NDIS for nursing support. I was requiring a nurse to perform, support and trouble shoot a procedure for my son who has a disability in his home. The service was set up with ease. I have also found the communication between the agency and my son, and I has been excellent. My son is very happy with the support he is getting with the nurses (who have all been the same people) and we always receive the roster in advance. The nurses are trained well in the procedure and have always been respectful to my son. Very happy with NND Canberra.
