Will I have the same caregiver every time?
Consistency is vital for personal care. We build a small, dedicated team around you so you are always supported by familiar faces. This ensures you build a professional, trusting relationship and never have to explain your routine to a stranger.
Can I request a male or female caregiver
Yes. Tell us your preference at your Caring Consult, and we'll match you with a caregiver who puts you at ease.
Do I need special equipment?
Not always, but your safety always comes first. Our Registered Nurse or Care Designer can assess your bathroom and recommend equipment, such as a shower chair, grab rail or raised toilet seat, to help reduce the risk of falls.
Can I book personal care just for the mornings?
Yes. Our support is fully flexible to suit your lifestyle. Many clients book a specific "Morning Routine" visit (e.g., 2 hours) to assist with showering, dressing, and breakfast, allowing them to start their day safely and independently.

They have become more than carers (although they are a help with some of her housework) they are now friends. After contacting many providers NND Canberra were the only one that were willing to provide the service and were still using the NDIS for nursing support. I was requiring a nurse to perform, support and trouble shoot a procedure for my son who has a disability in his home. The service was set up with ease. I have also found the communication between the agency and my son, and I has been excellent. My son is very happy with the support he is getting with the nurses (who have all been the same people) and we always receive the roster in advance. The nurses are trained well in the procedure and have always been respectful to my son. Very happy with NND Canberra.

The services were very professionally delivered and we could not speak more highly of Kylie and her team who do a difficult job with empathy and dignity. As our loved ones age, it can be a daunting task to keep them at home for as long as possible and some outside care keeps them at home longer which is what they much prefer. We have just needed to move Werner into Jindalee Nursing Home but there is no doubt Nurse Next Door enabled this to be delayed as long as possible.
