I am a client of Nurse next Door; my name is David Barnwell I have used their service for 8 months now. I have been made welcome, appreciated, and adopted by each family member of Nurse Next Door who communicate and care for me. I love how extensive my individual care concerns are acted upon whether caring for me paid time or when careers are in their own time. As a diabetic I rely on medication and pen for injections each week. I in conversation communicated that supplier were not able to keep up with Diabetic suffers demands, next moment Belinda was phoning many chemists to see if they had supplies? Eventually a chemist one hour round trip from my location had one in stock. After leaving details Belinda prepared to drive to the chemist and pick up my diabetic pen, Belinda suggested I stay home relax she would return that shift before leaving for her home. Experiences are too many to share of encounters other careers and nurses and staff I have had with. From the very beginning, she has been exceptional—working closely with Nan’s regular nurse to ensure the highest standard of care. Today, however, truly stood out. While driving to Brisbane, I called Nurse Next Door in a panic after Nan had a fall and needed urgent help. Amber immediately dropped what she was doing and came straight over. She stayed with us while the ambulance assessed Nan and continued to help afterwards, making sure Nan was comfortable. Not once did she mention that it was outside of hours or that she had stayed longer than expected. Her dedication, kindness, and genuine compassion are remarkable.
