No. Palliative care can begin at any stage of a life limiting illness, well before end of life care is needed. We support families for months or even years, helping manage day-to-day comfort, dignity and quality of life, including overnight and 24-hour support when required.
Everything has been excellent so far. I am pleased with all the caregivers NND has provided me. We did encounter a minor issue once, where a cleaner chose not to dry the floors after mopping. This presents a safety hazard for elderly individuals. I hope that this cleaner received additional training from NND. I understand there is a shortage of caregivers in Australia, and indeed, worldwide. Therefore, it may be challenging to find qualified individuals. However, it is essential for everyone involved in aged care, including cleaners, to be properly educated. Safety is of the utmost importance. I am grateful to Nurse Next Door, fantastic company. Perfect? No, nobody is, but they are human in all aspects. Easy to contact, they listen and always find a solution. For that I am thankful
