How we can help
Do you provide transport?
Yes. Your support worker drives you or travels with you to appointments, social visits, shopping and more, and can sit in at appointments to take notes so nothing is missed.
Is this just a taxi service?
No, it is much more. A taxi driver drops you at the kerb. Your caregiver assists you from your front door, helps you into the car, stays with you during the activity if you wish, helps with mobility or bathroom breaks, and makes sure you are settled safely back at home afterwards.
Can I go to evening events?
Yes. Our services are available 24/7, so if you want to attend a wedding, a concert or a family dinner in the evening, we can arrange support to get you there and back safely.
Will the caregiver stay with me?
That is entirely up to you. Some clients prefer their caregiver to stay with them for company and conversation throughout the activity. Others prefer to be dropped off and collected again at a set time. We adapt to your preference.

I have found Nurse Next Door (NND) very professional yet friendly to deal with. The support staff whom assist me in my daily tasks are wonderful and I have built some amazing relationships with them. Many of the support staff go above and beyond there tasks making each outing memorable and enjoyable. I am privileged to call many within NND close friends rather than staff or support as they are truly invested in their roles to look after, care and encourage clients. I would insist that anyone looking or needing support go with NND as I have never regretted my decision to do so over a year ago. I am not just a client, a number, or another file.
