Medication needs range from simple daily reminders to complex clinical care. Your dedicated Care Designer, a Registered Nurse, coordinates with your GP and pharmacist to arrange the right level of in home care, delivered by local caregivers and nurses who understand your routine, whether you require aged care or ongoing clinical support.
Our caregivers live and work locally, so care at home is never far away, anywhere in Joondalup.
Prompting is when a caregiver provides a friendly reminder that it is time for medication and hands you your pharmacy-packed aid (like a Webster-pak) to take yourself. Administering is where a qualified caregiver or Nurse physically prepares and gives you the medication (including injections, creams, or loose tablets) and observes you taking it. We offer both levels of support depending on your needs.
Yes, in many cases. Straightforward injections, such as fixed dose or single dose insulin, may be given by a qualified caregiver. More complex injections, including sliding scale insulin and other clinical injections, are carried out by our Registered Nurses or Enrolled Nurses.
Yes. Medication administration by a nurse typically falls under the Clinical Care funding classification. Your Care Designer will help you budget for these visits to ensure your health needs are prioritised within your funding level.
No, you are not required to have a Webster pack. We can support medication administration directly from the original packaging. However, to help you maintain independence and ensure medications are taken safely and consistently, pharmacy-packed aids such as a Webster pack or sachets may be beneficial.
We take care of it for you. If your medication changes, our clinical team liaises directly with your GP and pharmacist to update your medication chart and make sure your packs are repacked or updated straight away, so your routine stays accurate without you having to chase anything up.
Coming home from hospital after surgery I didn't want help. I wanted to be independent and do things for myself but I very quickly realized that I did need help and couldn't always keep asking family due to their own commitments. I was told about Nurse Next Door and they came to see me. We had a chat about my needs and goals and what I would like to do out and about the community. Nurse Next Door have been a wonderful addition and I've never looked back. They are always polite and helpful and never make me feel I cant do it - or just do it for me. I wanted to retain my independence but I've also gained friends. All the support workers are absolutely fantastic and I couldn't recommend them more highly.
I had some respite so my wife had Nurse Next Door come in for two hours each morning and night to prepare meals and give care. They were excellent. It was great to have that time off knowing that Rosie was being cared for. They were excellent with her.
Cannot recommend Toral and her staff highly enough. Anja, Sandyha and Karma were absolutely amazing in assisting me care for my husband. Jim had Alzheimers and a terminal illness and all of the staff were caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and supportive at a very stressful time. Toral went above and beyond sorting out the issues I was facing with my care provider. Thank you ladies for your support of Jim and myself during such a difficult time.
I think it's wonderful. The people are so friendly and I would highly recommend this business.
In all my dealings with the coordinator and staff, they've all been so friendly and above professional. The care and attentiveness they provide for my mum is beyond my expectations. I'm deeply grateful..thank you.
Since becoming a client I found the management and support workers to be professional and very caring. The support team I currently have is the best I have had since 2020.
Donna is a absolute diamond very happy with the service and support she has given
Nurse Next Door Joondalup have been providing 24/7 care since May 2024. They provide a high quality of care & it's such a relief to know our loved ones are in good hands. The staff are very knowledgeable & very caring. Toral, the Managing Director is always contactable which is important. Thank you Nurse Next Door Joondalup for the amazing services provided.
Steph and the team are brilliant. They ensure there is frequent and open communication regarding their visits and any changes they notice. They cater to all of our family's needs and tailor the care and the staff to suit what would be best for the client. Steph goes over and above with the information that she provides for us and the entire team absolutely have the client's best interests at heart!
I do not have photos or videos to post, but I can say without fear of contradiction that Nurse Next Door , Joondalup, is an excellent care agency. I moved to WA from Queensland in around July this year and have found the agency to go above and beyond in helping me with the confusion of moving to WA which has many procedures different to Queensland. Without the help of staff I would have been completely lost in the maze of differences I have encountered, but staff knowing the difficulty of settling into a new state have been wonderful. I would also like to say, that as an elderly person with a terminal illness, their care has been outstanding. I could not have wished for better. There were some small issues in the early stages getting to know a new care agency and settling into a new state, but these were sorted with care and patience, for which I am very grateful. I cannot speak highly enough of Toral, the CEO of Joondalup and her staff. Elizabeth E. Alves, Regents Garden Wanneroo WA
I recently used NND Joondalup for NDIS care whilst on holiday. Although the branch is new, the staff were incredible. Toral, together with Anja are a fantastic pair to work with and were an absolute joy to be around. All the support staff I had (including Holly, Crystal, Janesha) during my visit were absolutely exceptional people and it was very evident that they truly loved doing what they do. I will absolutely be using their services for future visits to Perth. Thanks for making my holiday an absolute breeze from start to finish. :)
These guys were awesome and provided not only urgent medical support but also guided us to make the the best decisions during very challenge times. Anja was a angel and our family would not have been in the position that we were which made mums final days with us a great memory it is was not for Anja's superior support and guidance. Anja we owe you everything!!! Thanks
